What is the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a tool to assist you in reducing or clearing emotional pain and negativity that may be fueling fears, destructive behaviors, and physical pain. EFT connects with your acupuncture meridian points — without the use of needles.
During EFT, the meridians of your energy system are gently stimulated through TAPPING with the fingertips.
It’s simple and easy to use. Stanford Engineer, Gary Craig, developed EFT after he studied Thought Field Therapy (TFT) with Dr. Roger Callahan.
Who Can Benefit From EFT?
Trina uses EFT with many of her clients who want to control or release an unhealthy habit. For example, she taught EFT to a client, Sandra, who wanted to stop smoking. Sandra had smoked two packs a day for over twenty years.
Sandra was surprised and thrilled with EFT’s effectiveness in stopping her cravings to light up and smoke. She used EFT on her own, as well as the self-hypnosis techniques Trina taught her, and she is currently smoke free.
After Sandra quit smoking, her medical doctor sent Trina a thank-you note.
In addition, Trina teaches EFT to many of her weight loss clients to help them resist their unhealthy cravings for junk food.
Finally, Trina personally received a healing gift from using EFT after a frightening auto accident several years ago. On her way to her office one morning, a pick-up truck slammed into the back of her car. The night of the accident, after being treated and released from the hospital, Trina lay down to sleep. As soon as she closed her eyes, she repeatedly heard the terrifying sound of tires squealing and then the crash of the truck smashing into her car.
Feeling highly anxious as these intrusive memories jarred her, Trina decided to sit up in bed and do some EFT.
After a 20-minute round of EFT, the traumatic sound of the accident was gone, and she was able to sleep deeply that night. Trina was extremely grateful to have EFT for her post-traumatic stress response to the accident.
